                                        2nd Annual Corvette Fall Classic

 

Come and join High Performance Promotions and International Palms Resort & Conference Center for the 2nd Annual Corvette Fall Classic. This year we will be holding our biggest event of the year at the International Palms Resort & Conference Center located at 1300 North Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. The show will be held on Friday, November 2nd; Saturday, November 3rd; and Sunday, November 4th.  Registration is $25.00 day of show and $20.00 pre-registration. All pre-registrations must be in by October 31st at mid-night, no exceptions. To pre-register, please email your name and car information to Bob at pennsboro1j@cfl.rr.com.

This year’s event kicks off on Friday; Nov.2nd with a Corvette Only Cruise from 6pm to 9pm. Mambos Bar & Grill will be open to provide food, drink, entertainment and trivia. We will be starting EARLY REGISTRATION from 7pm to 9pm at the cruise. Come early and register your car the night before the show. Then on Saturday, Nov.3rd the 2nd Annual Corvette Fall Classic Show will be held from 11am to 4pm with registration starting at 8am until 12pm. Awards will be at 4:30pm. The first 50 cars registered will receive a goody bag and a dash plaque. This will be a people’s choice show. You will receive your ballot when you go to the registration table when you arrive. Music will be provided by DJ Joey playing a mix of the oldies. There will also be giveaways, a 50/50 drawing plus there will be CASH PRIZES.  The award categories will be Best in Show, Best Interior, Best Engine, Best Paint, Top 3 in each generation class, largest club, and furthest driven. The resort’s promenade will host a variety of vendors. The night of the show we will be having another Corvette Only Cruise from 6pm to 9pm with food and drink & entertainment plus trivia at Mambos Bar & Grill. On Sunday the resort offers a breakfast buffet, available for purchase.

 

If you are interested in spending the weekend or just one night, rooms are available at the International Palms Resort & Conference Center for a special Corvette Owner rate of $75.00 plus taxes a night for a standard room only now thru September 1, 2012; after this date those rates increase to $89.00 plus taxes a night for a standard room. In addition, if you spend the night you will get a $10.00 breakfast coupon per room. The Brevard County Corvette Clubs Toy Run was a GREAT SUCCESS..!

We broke our record with 102  Corvettes..!  That is roughly a mile long line of cars.

We raise over $4,000 worth of toys and cash for disadvantaged children in Brevard County.

Thanks go out to the Brevard County Sherriff Department and the Cape Canaveral Fire Department for all their help.

Next years' Toy Run will be December 3rd, 2011.

I am with the CFCA corvette club also. We are doing a drive out to Dixie Crossroads today at 2pm. All corvettes are welcome. We are meeting at the Amazon Village Parking Lot (old Builder's Square) located on the Southeast corner of East Highway 50 (Colonial Drive) and Rouse Road at 1:45 pm. We will depart for the restaurant at 2:00 pm. It’s a great fun crowd and we love to meet, drive, and eat.

Simon and Barbara it was nice meeting you and glad you enjoyed our road tour of Florida's backroads, even the off road section. At least ya'll should get some cooler weather in Toronto. Hope to see you at the August meeting.
