It's a new show October 26,27, and 28th at Castro Farms on US 27 a little north of Ocala. It is a beautiful venue with room for a huge number of cars. Last year it was very well organized with lots of vendors, live entertainment, and even a mini swap meet. It was hugely promoted but the weather was crappy with off and on rain all three days. Even so there was a pretty good turnout.
Hard to estimate because the place is so large. but I would guesstimate there were 150 to 200 in the show and 50 to 100 in the corral for sale area. Any way I would like to see a show of this magnitude succeed in this area. Other than the Silver Springs and Garlits shows there isn't too much else.
Anyway, if you're interested, the number is 352-620-9998 or www.OcalaPumpkinRun.com
Lord willing, I hope to meet some of you there. I'll be in one of the Mustang rows, LOL!
Thanks for the complements! I've been into Mustang since there have been Mustangs... The automotive variety anyway.
Albert, I'm not familiar with this show. Why don't you post any info and websites for others.
I got it also. I do think I am going to try to make it.
I just got my flyer for this fall's Pumpkin Run in Ocala. We went Friday and Saturday last year and enjoyed it except for the bad weather that put a damper on things. I will be attending again as I feel it has the potential to be a really good show.
Just wondered if anyone else is planning on attending?
I think the Cedar Key cruise would be better than the car show thing...
