just found 6 to five lug conversion wheel adapters for sale on C.LIST ,they make it a 5 lug ford pattern ,since I like the old school look i also bought a set of bullet style 5 spoke wheels , i just hope my math is ok. looks like they will fit on paper .I just have to find a chevy center cap to replace the mustang :)
thanks ,no I havn't got to it yet .ther is a hole for the light but I dont see any wireing going to it so i guess i have to fish it through . it has a long pig tail .
Dave, If you haven't wired it yet. The power wire comes off the hot side of the light switch and goes to the light and then a ground wire goes to each door switch.
just recieved my late birthday presents in the mail . a box from LMC arived today new mirrors and a new gauge cluster cover ought to spruce her up a bit .also got a new interior light but the old one is not there so I guess I have to figure where to run this long pig tail, possibly the switch at the door or head light switch . just running the thing thru that metal head liner looks to be challenging , if anyone has an idea how its wired up I would apreciate it ,thanks Dave
I found a web site call my bolt pattern that has a pretty good cross referance guide .the wheels I have are 135 mm and the site says that is ford and lincoln. I have been told mine is a 6x 5.5 or6x139.7 when I look up new wheels online they say they wont fit the older trucks .I have 17" steel wheels from a silverado on it now but it looks like someone may have altered the hud area on the wheel ?
Comment by Cristobal Estrada on June 26, 2012 at 11:41am FYI the 6 Lug pattern is the same on Toyota, Nissan , Ford,Mazda and Mitsubishi, Dodge Dakota 6 lug pattern is smaller
thanks cristobal ,I like the swirl looking wheels on the blazers if thats what your talking about ,but I think I will stick with the 17 " unless i find a good deal on a set that has tires with them ,in another size ,thanks .I found a guy close to me who has a machine shop set up just for working on wheels and for 50 bucks a wheel he will redrill mine and install some kind of a insert but I also need the ring to match the hub which was making the price climb into the 500 dolllar range including the price of the wheels , so my thought was to sell the wheels and find the right ones , MY preferance would be some kind of spoke wheel like a crager or torque thrust ,to keep it old school ,or even a 17" rally wheel would be ok .
Comment by Cristobal Estrada on June 26, 2012 at 9:59am Dave i Had a set of Chevy factory wheels they came on the Blazers 80's- 90,s, re-machined the lip smooth and polished them they looked real cool ,they were for my slammed 85 Nissan PU, they fit in the rear but not the front it was put a 1/4" spacer or machined a relief and keep the wheel intact and still use it on a GM it's 16" x8s
sounds good to me too
